Solving the problems that matter
We'll help you understand blockchains – and how they can actually be useful
Hi all,
This is it, we’re finally writing our first post. The idea for this newsletter has been there for a while but it took some time to polish everything.
Then we needed to find a good platform which ultimately led us to Beehiiv because, well, the team really seems to care about what they to – plus they’ve really thought about useful details for publishing newsletters.
Let us know if you want to try it yourself; we’d be happy to introduce some interesting new projects.
So what’s up?
Today is just a quick intro:
Problem: there’s a disconnect between people developing blockchains and people actually using them.
Solution: our newsletter (well, maybe that’s not the complete solution but it’s a start).
Let’s get started! 🤓
Have you ever thought that technology solves a lot of problems which didn't actually exist? We often get that impression, too.
And when it comes to blockchains, the gap between nerds and users seems to be even bigger than in 'regular' IT-related stuff. That's why we decided to launch this newsletter.
Understanding blockchain technology may be pretty simple when you have a good understanding of computer science, cryptography, sociology as well as political and macroeconomic theory. For everybody else, it's kind of complicated.
To be fair, we're hardly experts on the tech side. However, we believe that blockchains can help to solve lots of issues in lots of areas. That's why we want to help you to understand the basic ideas and why they matter. On top of that, we'll present early-stage ideas and current implementations.
Why we're doing this? Because there are a lot of highly qualified developers and many potential use cases. Unfortunately, there are few connections between both groups.
Getting involved in such a bridge-building exercise for early-stage technology is...
a complete waste of time OR
a chance to discover opportunities which we don't even know about yet.
We really hope it's the latter but we'll see about that.
Getting lots of subscribers would be a good first step, getting comments and feedback would also be great as we can certainly benefit from your input.
In a nutshell: You should subscribe to our newsletter – and forward it to some friends and colleagues. We'll at least try not to be boring.
That’s the end for today! 😢
